COVID-19 Guidance

The latest news and guidance affecting the real estate industry in New England.

The health, safety and welfare of each member of our team, their families and our clients is our top priority. As a result, we are closely monitoring the outbreak of COVID-19 in order to make decisions regarding our operations. It is an unprecedented situation, so our response to it may change as we navigate the next couple weeks. 

Great East Title has long established plans to prevent disruptions in its business. One part of that plan is to provide our associates with laptops and the software capability to work remotely. So, at least temporarily, many of our associates will have the option to work offsite. We also have a phone system that will direct all calls to the associate working on your file so there will be no disruption in communications.

As the situation surrounding the COVID-19 coronavirus continues to evolve, we are taking extra measures to ensure the ongoing safety of our employees and customers. Effective today, we are implementing the following measures in order to protect the health and safety of our employees while serving our customers.


  • All closing participants will be asked if they are under quarantine or exhibiting any symptoms of illness prior to scheduling and then again just prior to closing.

  • We are limiting the number of attendees at closing to only those required to sign documents, with the option of signing with one party at a time.

  • We are offering customers the opportunity to electronically sign documents in advance of closing whenever possible.

  • All meeting space will be sanitized before and after closings.

  • We will not allow any pen sharing.

  • All scheduled Continuing Education Classes (CEU) through April 6 are postponed until further notice.
